Eric Dickerson

Eric Dickerson set the NFL's single-season rushing record with 2,105 yards in 1984, a mark that still stands more than four decades later. Over an 11-year career with the Rams, Colts, Raiders, and Falcons, he made six Pro Bowls and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

Dickerson founded the ED29 Foundation to provide mentorship, scholarships, and community outreach supporting education, health, and personal development for young people. The foundation's work has reached at-risk schoolchildren as well as those affected by diabetes, muscular dystrophy, and bone marrow disease, and runs free youth camps throughout California. In 2025, the foundation partnered with Hope through Housing to open the first Eric Dickerson Learning Center, providing a safe, dedicated space for children in an affordable housing community in Fort Worth, Texas.

Westcoast Sports Associates honored Eric Dickerson with the Roy Firestone Award in 2018, recognizing both a record-setting playing career and ongoing work expanding access to education and safe spaces for children.
