Clayton Kershaw

Clayton Kershaw spent his entire 18-season career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, winning three Cy Young Awards, an NL MVP award, and a World Series championship, and is widely considered one of the greatest left-handed pitchers in baseball history. He retired from Major League Baseball after the 2025 season, closing out his career with one final appearance for Team USA at the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

In 2011, Kershaw and his wife, Ellen, founded Kershaw's Challenge after Ellen met a young orphan named Hope while volunteering in Zambia. What began as sponsorship for one child grew into a foundation that has raised more than $23 million to build homes, an orphanage, and the Arise Christian School in Zambia, while also supporting vulnerable and at-risk children in Los Angeles, Dallas, and the Dominican Republic, where the organization partners with International Justice Mission to combat human trafficking.

Westcoast Sports Associates presented Clayton Kershaw with the Roy Firestone Award in 2013, recognizing both his standing as one of baseball's all-time great pitchers and a foundation that has grown into a global fight against poverty and exploitation.
