Carl Lewis

Carl Lewis won nine Olympic gold medals and one silver across four Olympic Games (1984–1996), including four consecutive gold medals in the long jump, and is regarded as one of the greatest track and field athletes in history. He was inducted into the USA Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2001 and the International Association of Athletics Federations Hall of Fame in 2012.

Since retiring from competition in 1997, Lewis has devoted significant time to philanthropy through the Carl Lewis Foundation, which has served as an umbrella supporting organizations including Best Buddies, the Wendy Marx Foundation for organ donor awareness, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and youth fitness initiatives. He has also served as a United Nations Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization, advocating for issues including youth nutrition and sustainable agriculture on a global stage.

Westcoast Sports Associates honored Carl Lewis with the Roy Firestone Award in 2022, recognizing an unmatched Olympic legacy paired with decades of philanthropic and humanitarian work.
