Pepperdine Sports Camps In the summer of 2008, 33 inner-city children were brought to the campus of Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, to participate in summer sports camps. Through a cooperative venture with WSA, Pepperdine Athletics, and the Venice Boys and Girls Club, the boys and girls were treated to award-winning sports camps. WSA funded this outreach project to provide inner-city children with a unique camping experience in a different environment than that of their home area. Pepperdine coaches and student athletes provided the instruction. WSA has been funding this program since the summer of 2003. [ return to Charities main page ]
