The WSA Speaker Series is an exclusive social opportunity with a prominent sports figure for all members and their guests. The most recent guest speaker was NBA referee Steve Javie in April. Javie not only talked of his days as a referee, but also about the Javie Foundation for Charity which has been raising money for abused and abandoned kids and homeless men in the Philadelphia area for the past 13 years. Javie officiated Games 1 and 6 of the 2011 NBA Finals and recently retired after 25 years in the league.
